About Waso and Kahtein pwè taw

It is with the greatest of the reverence to the Exalted One, the Buddha, the Sakyamuni, that I write this Waso-Kahtein Thingan.
Thank you for your good mail about : "Bama Thahaya-Thingaha" (France) which had been sucessfully organized for "Waso and Kahtein Thingan" i.e., our burmese traditional buddhist religious festivals at the monastery of Sayadaw U Kumara. Note 1: Thahaya "Pali" = associating; Thingaha or Saṅgaha "Pali" = help, assistance; Or, Saṅgaha in French = aide, soutien, signifying: 1.

Note-Eng: Vassa "pali" or "Waso", (Lit.: rain / pluie) = to keep lent / la retraite traditionnelle de trois mois; "Waso Thingan", i.e., to make an offering of priests' garments at the beginning of the season of lent / retraite ; Kaṭhina "Pali" or Kahtein = a sacred period (namely, month of Tazaungmôn), during which priests' garments are presented with ceremonies ; "Kahtein Thingan", i.e., a garment made at such period (or bought ready made ones) in order to make an offering to Buddhist monks / priests at the end of the lent.
Note-Fr:Vassa, Lit.:"pluie".
Note: The Buddha says:-"I declare, O Bhikkhus, that volition/intention, Cetanᾱ is Kamma. Having willed one acts by body, speech and thought". Then, we are taught in the same way by Bhikkhus / Saṅgha, one of "The Three Jewels" = "ti-ratana", or "The Three Refuges" = "ti-saraṇa". According to this above-mentionned Buddha-Dhamma orTeaching-Path, taking refuge in the Triple Gem, and paying respect to the Five Anantas or fivefold Infinitudes, i.e., five benefactors with boundless attributes and infinite excellences, I willingly accepted your invitation in order to participate in your Kusala - Kamma or meritorious actions. *"Notes: recueillis en Fr. from Michel Henri DUFOUR, Dictionnaire Pᾱli-Français du Bouddhisme originel, les Editions des 3 Monts", et collected en Ang. from Buddhist texts. *Aung zay yatu thaba mingalan ! With lots of love-metta to you all,
*Aung Ko (principal male actor in tthe film, "Beyond Rangoon/Rangoon", by Jhon Boorman, 1995, dedicated to Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Nobel Peace Laureate, 1995).
P.S. I'll send this message and your message (attach file) to other dhamma-friends on my side who haven't known yet about this celebration of religious offering, so that they may make an offering directly by themselves at the monastery or via me, as they wish.
